 Overview

Magento 1 Stripe Checkout extension enables you to accept credit card payments through the Stripe Payment Gateway directly on your Magento 1.9.x website. Credit card details are sent directly to Stripe, ensuring that sensitive data never touches your servers.

Stripe Checkout is a low-code payment integration, allowing you to seamlessly embed the Checkout page into your website and start accepting payments with minimal setup.

How it works

Redirects customers to the Stripe Checkout payment page for credit card entry, then returns them to your website once the payment is successfully completed.

Installation

1) VERY IMPORTANT! go to admin panel -> System -> Tools -> Compilation and make sure that Compiler Status is disabled. If it's not, please change it to disabled. If you plan to use the compilation after installing the extension, please click the 'Run Compilation Process' button after you complete the extension installation.

2) copy files from pl-stripe-m1 folder to the magento root folder

3) log in as admin and refresh all caches (System > Cache Management)

4) log out of the admin panel and log in back. This is needed for Magento to update access permissions.

Installation is completed.

Troubleshooting

If you have any issues with the extension, please disable it the following way:

1. Open file app/etc/modules/PL_Stripe.xml, find this line of code:

<active>true</active>

and change it to:

<active>false</active>

2. log in as admin and refresh all caches (System > Cache Management)
